A postman was found in the woods near an abbey. A large wolf was nearby. They took him in and when he awoke, found that he had no memories. His bag of mail was full, though and he decided to set out to deliver it in hopes of finding out who he was. He was accompanied by the wolf, whom he rode and who acted as a guard for him and also by a boy a little younger than he who wanted to see the world.
There was a man who could heal people by taking on their diseases and wounds himself, and a girl at the abbey who seemed important.
