Ovum et Lingua Latina

My breath smells like Eggs for some reason. Oh, and I'm learning Latin.

I'm almost done writing Chapter IV (Forgotten Lands) and am very much enjoying it. Composing Light Magic Spells is very fun. I've ruled that Light (Lalil) and Dark (Lalilfen) Magic (Morsus) don't have to be sung in Elessic and that the words are not Concrete.
I've modeled them after Kidou from Bleach.

'Oh Ye, Keeper of the Lock'
'Remember thy Pact with Mankind'
-
'Walls of Sand'
'The Iron Butterfly Passes'
'Opened by the Heart'
'A Torrent does Pour forth'
'Bent-Style'
'Number Eleven'
'Ward'

Determination

Sometimes, I think I can do anything if I try hard enough. Maybe if I put all of my thought into it I can stop time. Maybe if I spent more time writing I'd be done by now. Maybe if I take it slow and concentrate I can draw what I think. Maybe if I put my heart into it I can keep my hands steady. Maybe if I just stick myself out there I won't be afraid anymore.

Maybe there aren't enough hours in the day. Maybe the world is winding down. Maybe its not my fault that I can't do certain things. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe I'm not. Maybe if I spend a week fasting I'll understand the world better. Maybe someone out there is looking for me.

Maybe I'm missing the point.

More fun with my Sentence

I've translated the sentence 'But I thought that that thing that he had would have had to have had an arm' into various languages (using Google translator) and will post them in those languages and then their direct translation.

Original:
But I thought that that thing that he had would have had to have had an arm.

Japanese:
しかし、と思っていることをしていたことが腕がしていた。
(However, I think that it was the arm.)

German:
Aber ich dachte, dass das, was er hätte haben einen Arm.
(But I thought that what he would have one arm.)

French:
Mais je pense que ce truc qu'il avait aurait dû avoir eu un bras.
(But I think this thing he should have been an arm.)

Russian:
Но я подумал, что это вещь, которая им пришлось бы имели руки.
(But I thought this thing that they would have to have hands.)

I believe that I have successfully stumped the internet.

Baa!

Tonight was Open House/Fall Festival at school. Whilst meeting with my art teacher I was asked to show my Parents my Sketchbook. Upon opening to the first page, which contained an Angel (see previous posts), my Mother (The Artist) remarked something like 'Ah, an angel. An Anime angel; but still an angel.'

I brushed this off at first as simple criticism of an unusual art style.

But then in short time she said in a discussion with my teacher that they (My teacher and Her) would have to ween me off of drawing anime!

That is the single most unsupportive thing anyone has ever said to me! Atleast when people say 'You Suck' it's aimed at my abilities as an artist, not my ideas. My characters are Manga Characters, I think of them in those terms, they act in those terms, it's who they are. I often imagine what a movie of my stories would be like, what music they would use, what the voices would be like, et cetera. And NEVER do I think of it as being live action.
Anime has a charm to it not found in western art. If you draw Western, you have to follow certain guidelines. If you draw to exagerated then you become a sunday morning comic cartoonist. If you manage can to have skills and style, you can be a Super Hero artist and work for DC or Marvel churning out trash written by other people. If you are absolutely fantastic, you can get a job illustrating books, doing novel covers and political cartoons with slightly offenisve characatures of people in power.

I want to draw what I want to draw; Wars, Angels, Knights, Magic! That is my world. I'll just become better, maybe if I'm a good enough artist then I'll be more than a Japanophile with a Pencil and Paper. Then no one can say that I should change. Brittany didn't, she's still making awesome art and she was the best artist in the school. Her Manga was THAT good, no one could deny her talent. Why don't my hands work?!

School 2

Graaah, I hate it!

I spend most of my time doodling in my sketchbook rather than taking notes. I don't have any problems in school, I just don't like having to do the work.
Writing is especially draining.

I keep forgetting to do things... I should write them down more, I guess.

Linguistics

It seems that I have developed the single most difficult to translate sentence in the the history of mankind.

'But I thought that that thing he had would have had to have had...'

Over complicated? Probably. But epic none the less. You can add whatever you want to the end of that.

I'm quite fascinated with the use of the English second person singular pronoun, 'you'. While it is commonly used singularly, it can be used as a plural. Additionally, even when in its normal, singular, tense it is still treated as plural.
Note that 'is' is conjugated as 'are', which is also used for 'we', 'they', and 'you(plural)'.
Fascinating, I know. Did 'you' used to be only used in plural? I might have to do some research.
